Our proprietary software platform generates three-dimensional digital models of infrastructure assets, enabling complex, engineering-grade analysis to be performed at scale. Our state of the art, cloud-based model enables utilities and infrastructure asset owners to enhance the operation and performance of their assets by optimizing capital spend, reducing operational costs, and improving safety and risk management. As the Head of Technical Sales, Americas, you will drive the regional Technical Sales and Product Management strategy. As the regional arm of technical marketing, sales and product management, you will own and project manage our technical selling initiatives. With inputs from the regional and corporate sales, product engineering, and the executive team - you will develop and communicate the technical value proposition of Neara’s products and solutions, build supporting outcome-based demos, present our products to prospects and customers and represent Neara at key industry events.

You will be responsible for developing demonstration use cases that deliver a value-based dialogue to ensure our product is showcased with impact to the right audiences. You will build technical product presentations, whitepapers, product guides, product videos, technical briefs, and other tools to enable sales teams to sell Neara solutions. The ideal candidate is both strategic and creative, with the ability to connect IT market and technology trends and needs with Neara’s technology to build product positioning and messages for key use cases.

Job requirements


In this role you will:

  • Serve as the regional technical lead for all sales and marketing activities.
  • Be a product evangelist, demonstrating Neara’s products to prospects and customers in meetings, webinars, seminars, conferences and tradeshows
  • Design, deliver, and train regional staff on value-based demonstrations of our products, to consistently and impactfully show how Neara can solve business problems.
  • Develop demo scripts and data sets, handle demo infrastructure logistics, maintain and update existing demos, and provide technical support for demo-related matters.
  • Engage with prospects, customers and partners to ensure product deployments are successful. This may require engagement in data loading, analysis, training and client startup supervision.
  • Provide regional critical, high-value technical support to prospects and clients.
  • Support partnership-related engagements and integrations.


  • 7+ years experience in technical product marketing, product management, or sales engineering in enterprise software
  • Electric utility industry experience
  • Extensive experience in technical marketing or sales engineering within an enterprise software setting.
  • Strong ability to identify and tackle technical tasks related to infrastructure, networking, and other areas, to address implementation challenges
  • A passion and knack for new technology - from video screen-capture and editing to collaboration software, and more
  • Experience establishing value and translating this to effective technology-based demonstration use cases
  • A confident written and verbal communicator, able to engage internal and external audiences by effectively articulating and showcasing technology
  • Self-starter who truly enjoys working in a fast-paced, innovative company
  • A background within energy/utility, infrastructure or enterprise software sales industries is a must


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related discipline
  • Master’s Degree is a plus
